Pan-Seared Lemon Pepper Cod

  • 4 cod fillets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon Badia Lemon Pepper seasoning
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  1. Pat cod fillets dry and season both sides with Badia Lemon Pepper seasoning, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the cod fillets.
Sear the cod for 3-4 minutes on one side until golden and crisp.
  3. Carefully flip the fillets.
  4. Add butter and lemon juice to the skillet. Baste the cod by spooning the melted butter mixture over the fillets as they cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.
  6. Serve with lemon wedges for an extra citrus kick.
