Annatto Seed

Badia Annatto Seed, also known as achiote, is a staple of Latin American and Caribbean cooking.
Steep the seeds in warm oil or water to make achiote oil or coloring, or grind them into pastes and marinades. They give rice, stews, meats and sauces a rich golden-orange color and a subtle, slightly peppery flavor.
