Ingredients
- ½ Green Bell Pepper, chopped
- ½ Red Bell Pepper, chopped
- 1/8 tsp Badia Ground Jalapeño
- ½ Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, chopped
- 2 tbsps Badia Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- ¾ lbs Lean Ground Beef
- 1 tsp Badia Oregano
- 1 tsp Badia Chipotle Ground Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Badia Pasilla Ground Chili Powder
- 3 tsp Badia Chili Powder
- 1 can cut Tomatoes (14.5 ounce can)
- 1 can Tomato Sauce (15 ounce can)
- 2 cans Black Beans (15 ounce can)
- 1 cup Water
- ½ tsp Badia Ground Cumin
- ½ tsp Badia Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Badia Onion Powder
- 1-1/2 tsp Badia Salt (or salt to taste)
- ½ tsp Badia Ground Black Pepper
- ½ tsp Badia Crushed Red Pepper – optional (for more heat, add more to taste)
- 2 tbsp Masa Flour
Toppings:
- 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- ½ cup Sour Cream
- 3 tbsp Chopped Onion
- 1 Avocado, chopped
Directions
- Heat a large pot on medium heat and add the Olive Oil
- Add the green and red bell peppers, onion, garlic and jalapeno to the pan and stir
- Add the ground beef to the pan and stir
- Add the oregano, chipotle chili powder, pasilla chili powder, chili powder, and stir
- Add the cut tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, the black beans and stir
- Add the cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, masa flour, and stir
- Let simmer for about 45 minutes or until the desired consistency is met
- Serve topped with cheddar cheese, sour cream, onions, and avocado.
